Gretsch-Unitas has won the bfb Award 2026 for the HS Master which means it has now received the award for barrier-free solutions three times in succession.

The bfb "Product of the Year" award recognises solutions that embrace accessibility and make it a comfort that is an integral part of everyday life. The award for HS Master in 2026 recognises a Gretsch-Unitas solution that makes Lift&Slide doors more user friendly and can also be integrated into elements that are already part of the building fabric.
The award is therefore in recognition of an approach to implementing realistic accessibility solutions that opens up new opportunities, especially in modernisation and refurbishment projects.
Easy-to-retrofit accessibility
The Lift&Slide doors in many existing buildings nowadays require strength and mobility in their day-to-day operation. This can be a challenge, especially for older people, persons with limited mobility or in situations where hands are already full.
It is in exactly these kinds of situation that the HS Master comes into play. The motorised drive makes light work of opening and closing Lift&Slide doors. The solution can be integrated into elements that are already part of the building fabric and is therefore particularly suitable for retrofitting in existing buildings.
Award winner three times in succession
By winning the bfb Award 2026, Gretsch-Unitas is continuing a remarkable legacy. In 2024 the SBS bb additional lock received the "bfb Product of the Year" award, and was followed by the HS LiftUnit in 2025.
This is now the third time in a row that a solution by Gretsch-Unitas – the HS Master – has received the award.
